Agentic hardware validation

One intelligent ecosystem to simulate, test, and validate hardware at every layer.

AI agents connect chip design, firmware, instruments and boards, then plan, run and validate every test on real hardware. You set the goal; they do the rest.

Works with instruments from

  • Keysight
  • Rigol
  • Keithley
  • Tektronix
  • Rohde & Schwarz
  • EA Elektro-Automatik
  • B&K Precision
  • Chroma
  • Texas Instruments

Every layer

From the silicon to the system

One agent works across all three layers, so a fault found on the board can be followed into the firmware and the chip beneath it.

The intelligence layer

We don't script tests.
The agent runs them.

Beyond scripts. Beyond spreadsheets. m8rix is the layer between your engineers and your bench: it plans a test, runs it on your instruments and checks every step against your limits.

You set the goal. It does the rest.

m8rix

plans the test · Turns a sentence into steps, setpoints and pass criteria, and shows you the plan first.

Describe the test

Say what to test in plain English. The agent reads your bench, finds the instruments and drafts a plan: steps, setpoints and pass criteria.

Safety

Built to be relied on

The AI decides what to run. Deterministic checks decide what is allowed.

Hard limits, on every step

A request above your limits never reaches the instrument.

Emergency stop

One click, from any page. Outputs off, run stopped.

Dry run first

Simulated instruments first, so a mistake costs nothing.

Wiring checked

Each cable ticked against the drawing before a live run.

Outputs off on exit

Finished, failed or stopped: every output goes off.

Every change, on the record

Every command, who asked for it and the result. Runs keep their data and waveforms.

The product

One screen for the whole bench

The conversation, the plan, the bench drawn for you, the wiring and the instruments: everything a run needs, on your desktop.Or skip the screen entirely: your bench is also available as MCP tools inside Claude, Cursor and any MCP client.

Questions

What people ask about m8rix

What is m8rix?

m8rix puts AI agents across every layer of hardware testing: silicon simulation, firmware and bench measurement. Describe the test in a sentence; the agents plan it, run it and return pass or fail with the data. Lower costs, fewer weeks and the same confidence as a professional.

Which instruments does m8rix work with?

FPGAs, MCUs, dev boards, supplies, loads, scopes and analyzers. Every supplier, one workflow. You describe the test; m8rix drives everything through a single universal interface. No vendor GUIs. No tab-switching between five different software suites. One bench, one brain.

Can m8rix test firmware as well as hardware?

Yes, that's the whole point. m8rix works the full stack: chip-level simulation, firmware builds and flashes, board-level functional tests, and bench measurements with your instruments. The vision is one continuous pipeline from silicon to shipped board, with AI agents owning the testing and simulation at every layer.

How does m8rix keep my hardware safe?

You describe the test in your language: what to verify, what matters, what good looks like. From there, m8rix plans the sequence, drives the instruments, builds and flashes the firmware, takes the measurements and brings back the result. You're the one calling the shots. The AI is the pair of hands that never gets tired, never skips a step and documents everything.

Does my lab data leave my computer?

No. m8rix runs on your machine, and all your data stays on your machine. The only thing that leaves is the request to the AI model, sent to the provider you choose. Your measurements, your schematics, your firmware, your results: they never leave your bench.

Can I use m8rix from Claude, Cursor or another AI assistant?

Yes. m8rix exposes your bench as MCP tools, so any MCP client can use your instruments and runs.

Which industries is m8rix built for?

Anywhere hardware has to pass the same test, the same way, every time. Space and satellites. Launch vehicles. Defense. EV and automotive. Robotics. Semiconductors. Data centers. Energy. Research labs. Electronics production. From orbit to the factory floor, if it has to be tested, m8rix tests it.

How much does m8rix cost?

Free. Download it for Mac or Windows, sign up and start testing on a simulated bench in minutes, then connect your own instruments when you're ready. Version 1 is rolling out soon, and it's free while we build it with you. Licensing comes later; for now, use it, push it and tell us what breaks.

You set the goal

Plan and run hardware tests at the speed of thought.

Describe the test in a sentence. The agent plans it, runs it on your bench and brings back the verdict.
