Experiments you can repeat, on benches you share
University and industrial research labs run characterisation on shared instruments, often by many people. m8rix makes each experiment a plan anyone can rerun, with every result kept.
What you can validate
m8rix for research labs
- Device characterisationI-V curves, sweeps across temperature or bias, and metrics from the raw samples.
- Prototype bring-upNew boards and circuits brought up safely, with limits set from the device's ratings.
- Repeatable experimentsThe plan is saved, so the same experiment can run again next week or in another lab.
- New instrumentsA driver written from the programming manual and proven on the instrument before first use.
Workflows
Say what to test. It runs the rest.
Each workflow starts with a sentence. The agent turns it into a plan you review, then runs it on your bench.
01
I-V characterisation
Sweep with a source meter, capture current and voltage, fit and plot.
> Take an I-V curve of the diode from -1 V to 0.8 V in 10 mV steps.
02
Parameter sweep
Nested sweeps across two parameters, with a measurement at every point.
> Sweep bias from 1 to 5 V and frequency from 1 to 100 kHz and measure gain.
03
Driver for a new instrument
Point it at the manual; it writes the driver, tests it on the instrument and adds it to the bench.
> Add a driver for the new lock-in amplifier from its programming manual.
Why m8rix
Built for hardware that has to work
Limits it cannot cross
Your device's ratings are hard limits, checked on every step by deterministic code. The AI can't loosen them.
Every run on the record
Every command, who asked for it and the result, with the data and waveforms kept for review.
No scripts to maintain
Describe the experiment in a sentence instead of writing and keeping up a script.
On this bench
